It
happened on October 1 the third year of Heisei.
Kaori came back from school at
about 2:30.
Her mother Ikuko went to the part-time job, and no one stayed at home.
Kaori was doing homework alone when her older sister came home and went
out to the Electone classroom at 3:30.
Kaori used to go to calligraphy classroom where left home about 540m from
4 p.m., to 5 o’clock every
Tuesday.
She was supposed to leave home at about 3:50 wearing the pink rubber boots
with white edge hemming and carrying a white-blue cross printed umbrella
and a red handbag that Kitty was on.
Kaori had the key of the house, and the key of the entrance hung like
usual firmly when Mother came home at 5 o’clock.
Mother never worried about anything about her daughter and went to a
nearby grocery store for shopping.
Then she returned at about 6:30 p.m.
When she called to calligraphy classroom, they answered,” No one is here
any more.”
So she called a friend who goes frequently with Kaori and the friend said,
”Kaori didn’t
come today.”
She began to worry about her daughter.
She called the other friend and searched for her carefully taking a
way to the calligraphy classroom and she couldn’t find her daughter and
no one had any idea.
While she made a call to her school, she reported the Yokohama Asahi
office at about 8:30 p.m.
A reason to do running away from home couldn7t be found from family’s
and school people’s concerned story at all.
A detective from the Asahi office was sent to the Nomura house at once and
had circumstance listening.
It was concerned with the kid-nap or the accident.
The detectives were searching and listening around the neighbors.
On the other hand, they put the signboard at the station and asked some
information about Kaori with handbills to the citizen.
At present, it does the investigation activities whether there is
relevance in information, an event and an accident in district with the
system of 10 people.
As for the information contributed up to today, things such as 900 cases,
“There is a similar girl.” and “There is a doubt person.” are 1200
cases so far.
They have been investigated one by one.
The reference investigation in the river, mountain, and the shrine more
than 6000 and the legwork that reached 84000 people had been done.
It can’t still keep taking the beginning of the event elucidation though
the possibility that Kaori was taken away by car is high because there are
few strong witnessing testimonies.
